Description
Technical Parameters

The ductile iron grooved end gate valve provides rapid, rigid installation for fire protection and HVAC piping systems. Featuring a resilient-seated wedge and a grooved connection compliant with AWWA C606, this valve allows direct connection to standard grooved couplings without flanges, reducing installation time and labor costs.
Manufactured in our foundry utilizing automated resin sand molding lines, our bodies ensure uniform wall thickness and consistent dimensional accuracy. Supported by in-house CNC machining centers and electrostatic epoxy powder coating lines, we deliver reliable batch consistency for large-scale commercial and industrial installations.

Key Features

Resilient-Seated Drip-Tight Shutoff: EPDM encapsulated wedge vulcanized with precision molding ensures zero-leakage closure, exceeding AWWA C515 bubble-tight test requirements.

Low Operating Torque: Non-rising or rising stem designs paired with bronze stem nuts reduce operational friction, enabling smooth manual actuation under maximum working pressure.

Corrosion Protection: Internal and external surfaces coated with NSF/ANSI 61 and WRAS certified fusion bonded epoxy, applied via fluidized bed dip process to resist chipping and chemical degradation.

Rigid Grooved Connection: Accommodates linear expansion and minor angular deflection in the pipeline while maintaining structural sealing integrity under high seismic or pressure loads.

Applications

Fire Protection Systems: Wet and dry sprinkler lines, fire pump rooms, and main distribution headers requiring compliance-ready isolation for North American (UL/FM) and European markets.

HVAC Chilled & Hot Water Loops: Mechanical equipment rooms, chiller plants, and cooling tower risers in commercial complexes.

Industrial Fluid Transport: Plant utility water, wastewater treatment lines, and general non-corrosive industrial liquid processing.

OEM & Customization

We support project-specific modifications and OEM manufacturing requirements from drawing review to final packaging:

Body Markings: Custom logos, heat numbers, and casting dates raised directly on the ductile iron body via interchangeable pattern plates.

Actuation Options: Pre-drilled top mounting plates for electric actuators, chain wheels, or gear operators.

Material Traceability: Customized material certificates (EN 10204 3.1) matching specific project submittal requirements.

Packaging: Export-grade fumigation-free plywood crates or heavy-duty pallets customized to container loading requirements.

Testing, Quality & Documentation

Every production lot undergoes rigorous inspection in our certified quality control laboratory, backed by recognized international compliance standards:

Quality & Product Certifications: Manufacturing processes maintained under ISO 9001 quality management systems, with product compliance aligned with UL, FM, NSF/ANSI 61, and WRAS standards.

Pressure Testing: 100% hydrostatic shell test at 1.5 x rated pressure and seat test at 1.1 x rated pressure per API 598 / EN 12266.

Material Verification: Spectrometer chemical analysis and Brinell hardness testing (170-230 HB) on every ductile iron heat melt.

Coating Inspection: High-voltage holiday testing (2.5 kV) for pinhole detection and magnetic thickness gauge verification.

Documentation Provided: Material Test Reports (MTRs), hydrostatic test certificates, and coating thickness reports delivered with shipment.

FAQ

Q: What grooved coupling brands are compatible with these valve ends?

A: The grooved dimensions strictly adhere to AWWA C606 standard specifications, ensuring full compatibility with standard rigid and flexible couplings from Victaulic, Anvil, and equivalent global brands.

Q: Are these valves certified for UL/FM fire protection and drinking water applications?

A: Yes. Our product lines offer configurations compliant with UL and FM requirements for fire sprinkler systems, as well as NSF/ANSI 61 and WRAS certifications for potable water contact.

Q: What is your standard production lead time?

A: Standard sizes (2" to 8") stocked in unmachined casting form require 15 to 25 days for machining, assembly, testing, and coating.
