Hydrant Pillar Two Way

Keylion® Two‑way Hydrant Pillar, also known as dual‑outdoor fire hydrant or wet barrel pillar hydrant, serves as the main water access point for outdoor fire protection. This vertical standpipe links up with underground water supply. When you turn the top operating stem, the inner valve opens fully and water can flow through.

You can often see this hydrant installed around industrial parks, outside commercial warehouses, and in city residential districts. It comes with two separate outlet ports, so fire crews are able to connect several hoses at the same time. This setup guarantees enough water flow, either for surface cooling or direct fire attack, following local fire safety requirements.

FAQ

Q1: Does this two‑way hydrant pillar meet SNI and Dinas Damkar requirements?
A1: Yes. If you're supplying to Indonesia, this hydrant needs to follow SNI national standards, and get certified and tested by the local Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran (Damkar). This check confirms the product hits the required flow performance and material strength, so it can be used on both public and private construction projects.

Q2: Among Machino, VDH and Storz, which coupling type is the standard pick in Indonesia?
A2: Machino quick couplings are the main standard, it's by far the most common connection for fire hydrants and hoses all over Indonesia. VDH type may be requested sometimes, mostly for old municipal facilities or special government heritage projects. Storz couplings are seldom adopted for regular pillar hydrants.

Q3: What flange connection should I choose for a 2‑way hydrant pillar in Indonesia?
A3: To fit Indonesia's local water pipe network, JIS 10K or PN16 flange specification is the widely adopted option. For a standard two‑way hydrant pillar, the base connection normally comes in 4 inch (DN100).

Q4: Is it feasible to install a 4" × 2.5" × 2.5" hydrant pillar onto a 6" underground main pipe?
A4: Absolutely. Contractors in Indonesia do this quite often. You just need a 6" to 4" reducer tee or reducer flange, to link the 4‑inch hydrant base with the 6‑inch (DN150) underground fire water ring main.
