Brass Fire Hose Nozzle
Keylion® Brass Fire Hose Nozzle, often referred to as an Adjustable Fog Nozzle or Jet / Spray Nozzle, stands as a critical part of any Fire Hose Rack Assembly. These are usually the final piece connected to the fire hose inside wall-mounted cabinets. It functions by mechanically shearing the water flow as it exits the tip.
The nozzle works through a simple twist-action stem that adjusts the discharge from a long-range jet to a protective mist. This makes it vital for firefighting in schools, hospitals, or industrial plants. Beyond safety, the high-flow capacity suits large-scale irrigation and equipment cleaning in rugged environments.

Design and Flow Regulation
We cast this Brass Fire Hose Nozzle from solid brass stock mainly because it does not rot or seize up like the cheap aluminum heads you see elsewhere. When you keep a nozzle stored in a fire cabinet for years, moisture is the enemy, but brass holds up and remains movable. We added deep, rough knurled textures to the outside of the nozzle body. This helps you get a real grip if your hands are wet or you are wearing bulky fire gloves during an emergency. The black rubber bumper at the head is a simple fix for a common field problem. If the nozzle hits the ground, the rubber absorbs the impact. This keeps the brass spray tip from denting, so you always get a clean, even water pattern. The NPT thread are cut clean and deep for a tight, leak-free fit.

This adjustable fog nozzle uses a simple twist-action to change how the water comes out. You can shift from a long-distance straight stream to a wide-angle full fog/mist just by turning the sleeve. As a key part of a fire hose rack assembly, it is built to handle the high-pressure water that pumps through industrial lines. Many operators also call it a jet / spray nozzle because of its versatility in the field. It threads onto any standard NPT hose or pipe, making it easy to swap out old equipment. We supply these for forestry firefighting, factory washdown stations, and even big irrigation projects. Since there are no plastic triggers to snap off or springs to rust, it lasts much longer in rough industrial conditions where gear gets tossed around frequently.
You Need to Know
Does the nozzle come with a replacement rubber washer/gasket?
We seat a thick rubber gasket inside the female NPT threads before the nozzle leaves our warehouse, so it arrives ready to thread onto your line. If you are doing a large-scale installation and want a few dozen extra washers for your maintenance kit, just let us know when you place the order and we will pack them in.
How much pressure do I need to get a good fog pattern?
Getting a good, wide mist depends on your pump. If you are under 50 PSI, the spray might be a bit weak, but once you hit the 60 to 100 PSI range, you get that dense, shielding fog that works well for cooling down hot surfaces. These are designed to handle standard commercial fire pump pressures without leaking at the seams.
How do I clean and maintain a brass fire hose nozzle?
Maintenance is basic. If you notice the sleeve getting stiff, it is usually just some grit or sand caught in the threads after using pond or river water. Unscrew the head, rinse the internal stem with clean water, and put a little bit of silicone grease on the O-rings. If you are in a cold climate, make sure to drain it before winter so it doesn't freeze and crack.
Related Products
An American standard fire hose pin rack assembly is an indoor fire-fighting unit used for quick fire control. It is a standard fixture in commercial buildings, industrial plants, and high-rise apartments.
The assembly includes these core parts:
Pin Rack: A red top frame that holds the hose in vertical folds. This design ensures the hose unfolds smoothly without tangling when pulled during an emergency.
Fire Hose: A white synthetic hose with an internal lining, hung directly from the rack.
Angle Valve: A brass valve with a red handwheel used to turn the water supply on or off.
Rack Nipple: A brass connector that links the valve to the hose and rack. It creates a tight seal to prevent leaks when the system is under pressure.
Fire Nozzle: A brass or multi-purpose nozzle that lets users adjust the water flow from a straight stream to a wide spray.
